Formed in 1982, the Friends of the Library (FOL) have been actively supporting the Lake City Public Library in countless ways.  Since its first meeting in the downstairs children's library of the old Carnegie building, to the current monthly meetings in the boardroom of the new library, the purpose and mission of the FOL remain the same.

The Friends welcome new members of all ages as they continue to "...face in the same direction toward common projects, interests, and goals".  We invite you to read our story and consider becoming a Friend of the Library, too.
