The theme for this year's summer reading program is Every Hero Has A Story!

2015 Summer Reading Program

Story Times: Call the library at 464-3413, fill out a form online, or stop in to register for story times! Story times are for those entering 1st grade through 6th grade! Preschool story time will continue on Thursdays at 10:00am.


Emergency Vehicle Day: After the program on Wed, June 24th, join us to see some of the local emergency vehicles up close! Free program provided by Lake City emergency services.


Reading Logs: Starting June 17th stop in to the library to receive a reading card. We’ll punch the card for each book you’ve read. If you finish a row, you get a prize. If you finish a whole card by July 22nd, you get your prize for the last row AND are entered into a drawing for one of our GRAND PRIZES!

Wednesday, June 17th: Superheroes Program from 10:00-11:00Slogan with Characters

Friday, June 19th: Movie – The Lego Movie at 2pm

Wednesday, June 24th: Community Heroes program from 10:00-12:00

Friday, June 26th: Movie – The Incredibles at 2pm

Wednesday, July 1st: History’s Heroes program from 10:00-11:00

Wednesday, July 8th: Animal Heroes program from 10:00-11:00

Friday, July 10th: Movie – Big Hero 6 at 2pm

Wednesday, July 15th: I’m A Hero program from 10:00-11:00

Friday, July 17th: Pool Opening Pending, we have 2 options:

Plan A: Pool Party! Details will be announced as soon as they are known. Pizza and pop will be provided.
Plan B: Pizza/Movie Party! We’ll have a party at the library at 6pm with a choice between two of our latest movies and we’ll eat pizza and drink pop while we watch.
