Elementary Summer Reading Program


Thursdays Afternoons beginning June 20 at 1:00PM - 2:00PM

Children completing Kindergarten through Grade 5.

June 20: Worms!

June 27: Water Conservation Station

July 4: NO PROGRAM - Enjoy the holiday!

July 11: Dinosaurs

July 18: Insects

July 25: POOL PARTY (Children must earn an invitation to the Pool Party by participation in other summer reading activities.)

Summer Reading Logging Books

Children will receive Log Books to keep track of their summer reading.

Read for fun and to win prizes!

 


 

Pre-School Summer Reading Program



Preschool programs are for all children who have not yet completed Kindergarten. Parents are expected to stay with preschool children at all times in the library, to monitor their safety and behavior. Please spend time reading and playing with your children in the library!

Construction Countdown

Tuesday Morning June 11 10:00 - 10:30AM

This event will feature all kinds of equipment used for digging and moving dirt. Come enjoy crafts, snacks and our heavy equipment photo ops. Bring your cameras!

Hosted by Friends of the Library.

Stay and Play

Third Wednesday of every month at 10:00AM

These programs are a chance for kids to play with toys provided by Children & Families of Iowa, in company with other children. Moms enjoy the visiting time.

Storytimes

Wednesday mornings at 10:00AM

Stories and crafts.


 

Teen Summer Reading Program


BLAST!

BLASTS! motto is "Try New Things!"

Monday afternoons at 2:00PM

This group is open to students who have completed sixth grade or above.

We talk books, make things, play games and eat ice cream.

The group chooses its own activities based on the interest of the members.
